Rip-off

I was very aggravated today when I went to the local McDonald’s drive through and ordered a McNugget value meal with a large sweet tea for the drink. Normally buying a large sweet tea only costs $1.00 and it lasts me all day long. I was only given a medium sized tea, and when I told the lady I didn’t want a medium, I wanted a large, she told me that her pick ticket says to give me a medium, so that’s what I got. Then she shoved it at me and closed the window.

So I pulled off to a parking spot and took my meal inside. I explained that I wanted a large tea, not a medium tea to the lady at the front counter. She took away the medium tea and gave me a large tea. Then I told her that I saw on the receipt that I had been charged $1.60 for the medium tea, and a large tea only costs $1, so I wanted a refund. She told me that the large tea is only $1 if sold separately – if it is sold as part of a meal it costs almost $2! How exactly is that a value meal?

So now that I know that is the game that they are going to play, I will go to Arby’s for a chicken salad sandwich and then go to McDonald’s and order only a sweet tea. I like Arby’s sandwiches better anyway.
