Need a Lift
One of my co-workers just asked me to give them a lift after work today. They had car trouble this morning and broke down on a back road several miles from her home. She had to catch a ride from a complete stranger, who was kind enough to stop when they saw her on the road next to her car.
I don’t mind giving her a ride home, even though it is out of my way. In fact, I am flattered that she thought she could ask me.
It will give us some nice time together for about 20 minutes on the ride to her house. We can chit chat and get to know each other better. Of course, I’ll be late getting to my own home, but I don’t mind just this once.
