My parents own a grandfather clock

My parents own a grandfather clock.  The clock is in the foyer of the house; it is the first thing anyone sees when they come into the house.  The clock has a switch on the back to turn it off at night so it doesn’t wake everyone up.  They got it on their first anniversary of when they first moved to the United States as a celebratory gift of that anniversary.

Because of the sentiment associated with that clock, I love all grandfather clocks in general.  I would love to have a grandfather clock of my own someday.  To me a house just doesn’t feel like a home without one!  When I get married I will buy a grandfather clock for our home as an anniversary clock.  I’ve been looking at a website that sells grandfather clocks and picked out my favorite one and bookmarked it for when that happens.  I would put that in my foyer, if I have a foyer, or in my living room in a very prominent spot.  It is old fashioned looking, with an arched top.  The cabinet locks and there is a chime silencing feature so I could turn the chime off at night like my parent’s clock.
