Wicked is a Broadway production that has been on Broadway and also has toured nationally for several years. It is an “open-ended show,” which means it will continue running as long as it is making good money, and it has been playing to sold out audiences for almost every performance the past 4 years.
This play has actually been grossing more than a million dollars every week for over 7 years, whether the show has sold out or not. Wicked broke the record for highest weekly box office gross in Broadway history, at $1,610,934.
